Word of Mouth: True Stories Told Live

Word of Mouth is a live storytelling series where ordinary people step on stage and share extraordinary, five-minute, absolutely-true stories — all sparked by a single theme and the courage to speak up.

Hosted by Corey Rosen — Moth veteran, creator of Simply Said at the Lark Theater, and author of Your Story, Well Told — this series at the Sausalito Center For The Arts, invites the community to listen, connect, and maybe even take the mic.

Each night is different — because the storytellers are different.

Audience members who want to share a story drop their name into the storytelling hat before the show. During the evening, 10 names are randomly drawn, and those brave souls take the stage to tell a true, five-minute story inspired by the night’s theme — no notes allowed.

A panel of audience judges scores each story for its connection to the theme and emotional impact. At the end of the night, one storyteller is crowned the Word of Mouth Champion, earning applause, bragging rights, and local storytelling glory.
