About the Event: In a nod to Bastille Day, get ready to step into a smoky Parisian night of vintage jazz and French sophistication with Melissa Western and her 5-piece band. Inspired by the hidden salons and jazz clubs of Montparnasse, this stylish night weaves together velvety jazz, passionate vocals, playful storytelling, and irresistible charm.
The show journeys through the music of legends including Édith Piaf and Jacques Prévert, alongside the jazz brilliance of Eartha Kitt and Nina Simone. Expect French songs and English favourites inspired by Paris, gypsy-jazz a la Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, fiery swing rhythms, tender ballads, and a splash of French bubbles.
A devoted Francophile, Melissa has performed French repertoire for over two decades, including performances in France — bringing authenticity, elegance, and a touch of cheeky magic to every performance.
