Make a Leather Belt Half Day Workshop with Alby from Ivy Makers.
Using a precut strap of leather, the makers will measure and make a belt for themselves or as a gift for someone else (bring along a measurement or trouser waist size).
We will mark out each end from an acrylic template, then use a sharp knife and mallet/punch tools to cut the strap ends into a belt shape.
We will use rivets and an optional saddle stitch to fix the buckle in place.
On the day we will choose an option for finishing or decorating the exposed edges of the leather.
There will be an option of black or brown leather available, with a rustic finish. There will also be a range of silver and brass buckles to choose from.
Please note there is a £20 material charge payable to the tutor on the day. This includes the following your leather and hardware.
Included in the cost of your workshop is lunch, tea and coffee and afternoon cake.
