LIEPĀJA SYMPHONY NEW YEAR’S CONCERT
The end of the year is a time for celebration, lightness, and the magic of music – exactly what the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve concert offers every year. This traditionally brilliant event concludes the year with elegance and sparkling energy.
This year, under the direction of conductor Guntis Kuzma, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra invites listeners on an adventure-filled journey to the New World, following the bold discoveries of Spanish seafarers and the vibrant colors of southern culture.
A special place on the program is devoted to the fiery spirit of Spanish music, including Manuel de Falla’s cycle Seven Spanish Folk Songs, along with other works inspired by the southern seas, rich in sunny passion and lively energy.
This musical journey will be enriched by outstanding soloists – the dazzling Spanish vocalist Reyes Carrasco, guitarist Kaspars Zemītis, and accordionist Toms Rolavs, together with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, creating a rich and vibrant overall sound.
At the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve concert, passion, elegance, and joy will come together – it will be an unforgettable musical experience, bringing the year to a brilliant close and offering inspiration for the year ahead.
