Ice, Salt and Color Lab

A free winter science morning where young children use salt, warm water, and color to melt ice and watch what happens inside.
About this Event
Join us for Ice, Salt and Color Lab at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
This free Community Saturday turns the studio into a small winter laboratory. Children will work with blocks of ice, coarse salt, droppers of colored water, and warm water, then watch tunnels, cracks, and rivers of color appear inside the ice.
Children will predict what will happen, test their guesses, and describe what they see. Some will work quickly and some will watch one crack for a long time. Both are real science.
This is a hands on, messy in the best way morning for children who love to test things. Aprons and towels are provided.
