Big Ideas for a New Year

A free community morning where young children share one big idea or hope for the new year through drawing, building, and conversation.
About this Event
Join us for Big Ideas for a New Year at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
A new year is a natural time to ask children what they are thinking about. This free Community Saturday invites young children to answer in their own language. Some will draw, some will build with blocks and loose parts, some will dictate a sentence to an adult, and some will simply choose a color that feels right.
Every idea, big or small, gets added to a shared studio idea wall so families can see how differently children think.
This is a warm, open ended morning about being listened to. It reflects the Reggio Emilia inspired belief that children have real ideas worth taking seriously.
