Winter Bird Cafe

A free nature morning where young children make simple bird feeders and learn how to care for the birds that stay through an Oregon winter.
About this Event
Join us for Winter Bird Cafe at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
Birds are part of who we are at Little Nestlings, and winter is when they need us most. This free Community Saturday invites young children to make a simple bird feeder using seed, natural materials, and child safe supplies, then hang one at the center and take one home.
Children will look at pictures of the birds that stay in our area through winter, notice their colors and sizes, and talk about what living things need when the weather turns cold.
This is a warm, hands on morning about care, observation, and the small ways young children can look after their neighborhood.
