Hatha Yoga

The hatha yoga classes with Carla are characterised by the use of props and an emphasis on alignment and the use of bandhas. You will be encouraged to explore asanas with full awareness of your body and self-enquiry. These classes will advance your practice regardless of your level. We will often take the time to break down poses to deepen your understanding and practice. The class includes asana, pranayama and kriyas.

Carla’s highlight of the week is teaching yoga. Teaching yoga gives her purpose and makes her happy. Yoga is the thing that brings her balance and a sense of wellness. Her passion for yoga comes through her teaching style and it’s infectious.

Carla’s first yoga class was in Brighton in 2003 but her teaching journey didn’t start until 2016. She is a qualified hatha yoga teacher and has completed teacher trainings and workshops on pre- and post-natal yoga, Iyengar yoga, biomechanics of yoga and tantra yoga mostly in India.

Carla has worked in several yoga studios, wellness and detox retreats, and rehabilitation centres for addicts around the world.
