Harm Reduction at Pride

Join us at Radstorm, 2177 Gottingen Street (Access notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TXvYQDPMOuJOOPG3wjNR-Fg-bkGTCAmBxizcg53JMVE/edit?usp=drivesdk) on July 7th from 10am-12pm or 5pm-7pm for a Harm Reduction workshop before Pride! We are offering free naloxone training, naloxone kits, harm reduction supplies, testing kits, safe sex supplies and lists of resources available within Kjipuktuk. During this workshop we will learn how to identify an overdose, how to administer naloxone, safer use practices, safe sex practices, as well as how to keep one another safe in community not only during pride, but every day. It will be facilitated by community members, and will be an open, safe space for conversation, questions, and connection. Snacks and refreshments will be provided! This will be a masked event, masks will be provided at the door. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the workhop starts.
This workshop will be free for any and all community members, with a focus on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies attending pride events. No one turned away for lack of funds. There will be a ticket link with a PWYC option for donations, we will also collect cash donations day of, during the workshops. Donations will be sent to Community Fund Mi’kma’ki, a new and evolving Mutual Aid initiative that collects monthly donations, and disperses funds collected amongst open Mutual Aid requests for Black and Indigenous community members.
