Queer Bodies are Sacred (In-Person Program)
About this Event
Join Eating Disorders Nova Scotia (EDNS) on Thursday, July 16th, from 5-7 pm at 2711 Agricola Street for a free community-based therapeutic art event in celebration of Halifax Pride!
Guided by Sarah Keating (Professional Art Therapist) of The Tides Art Therapy, Queer Bodies are Sacred is an opportunity to celebrate queer bodies as a liberatory act of resilience and resistance. Community members are invited to our sober, accessible, and brave space to contribute to an artistic banner that EDNS will walk with in the Halifax Pride Parade on Saturday, July 18th. Following the parade, the banner will hang in our space to represent the solidarity we hold for our 2SLGBTQIA+ community members.
All are welcome. RSVPs required in advance. Donations are graciously accepted. Provide your mailing address for donations over $10 to be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
We recognize and appreciate the support of Halifax Pride in making this event possible.
