Art Therapy (In-Person Program)

On the last Saturday of every month, from 1-2:30 p.m., Eating Disorders Nova Scotia will be hosting an Art Therapy group. Join us at 2711 Agricola Street in Halifax, NS.
Join Sarah Keating, Professional Art Therapist (RCT-C), for a monthly art therapy group focused on using creativity as a tool for grounding, emotional expression, clarity, and self-connection. This group invites participants to explore their inner experiences in a gentle, accessible way - no art experience is required, only curiosity and openness.

Together we will:

• Use guided art-making to explore emotions, sensations, and patterns connected to disordered eating and body image
• Practice grounding and regulation tools through creative and somatic exercises, such as bilateral scribbling, journaling, and reflective art prompts
• Build self-compassion and deepen understanding of different parts of ourselves in a supportive group space

Sarah works from a person-centered approach, guiding individuals and groups in ways that feel meaningful and supportive. In these workshops, you can expect to feel more connected to yourself, gain new insights and coping tools, and discover ways of expressing and processing emotions beyond words.

This program is currently being offered free of charge, though donations are welcome! If you choose to make a donation of over $10, please include your address so that we can provide a tax receipt.

Our programs are open to anyone aged 16+ exploring their relationship with food/body/exercise.
