Film Screening: Goundafa, the Cursed Song

In a small village in Goundafa, in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, Said, Brahim, and Omar spend their days making music and dreaming of success and fame, while Fadma and the village women work the land, singing joyfully as they labor. The arrival of a new conservative imam gradually sows division within the community. As his influence grows, some villagers begin to reject their Amazigh identity, while others choose to resist.
