🌿 Join Us for a Unique Farm Visit Experience 🚌✨
Designed for curious urban residents who want to slow down, breathe fresh country air, and discover where food really comes from, this curated agritourism experience reconnects people with farms, food, culture, and nature through authentic, place-based experiences.
We will leave Toronto together by bus and travel to an educational farm, where you will experience a more rural pace of life surrounded by fields, gardens, birds, sheep, and open skies.
Beyond the romanticized image of farm life, we will learn about the real work, care, challenges, and satisfactions involved in tending a farm and producing food. 🌾
📍 About the Farm
The farm chosen for this trip is Everdale Farm, an educational farm situated between two watersheds. With its beautiful landscape, trees, and surrounding forest, Everdale offers the perfect setting for a meaningful day away from the city.
Located about one hour from Toronto, in a small town outside the Oakville area, the farm will welcome us through a talk and guided walk facilitated by the farmer/caretaker and agroecology educator.
This will be an encounter to remember. 🌱

👟 Practical Information
Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for different ground surfaces. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for the forest, garden, and field areas. The picnic site and facilities have gravel floors, so sandals or flip-flops are fine in that area.
Washroom facilities include:

Info: We’ll leave Toronto together and enjoy a relaxing ride toward Everdale Farm. This is the perfect time to meet other participants, chat, take in the views, or simply sit back and enjoy the change of scenery!

Welcome to the Farm & Behind-the-Scenes Farm Walk
Info: We’ll arrive at Everdale Farm and get our first glimpse of the fields, gardens, trees, animals, and open skies. Then, the farmer/caretaker and agroecology educator will guide us through the farm, sharing stories about the land, the animals, the growing spaces, and the everyday life of a working educational farm.

Light Lunch! With Original fresh produce!
Info: Time to slow down and enjoy a delicious meal made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Cold soft drinks served. Good food, good company, and countryside vibes included. Learn how food really grows, what sustainable farming looks like in practice, and what it takes to care for the land. Expect real stories, thoughtful conversations, and a few “I never knew that!” moments.

Info: We’ll board the bus and begin our trip back to Toronto — hopefully with full hearts, happy bellies, and a lot of new memories & connections. Drop-off will be back to TTC York Mills Subway Station.
