Exploring the Pretty Flower - Multi-Week Class

About this Class:

Over 6 weeks, you will explore one of improv's most popular and exciting performance forms, the Pretty Flower.

The Pretty Flower (which also goes by several other names, like the Spokane) is a delightful long-form show format that combines a central scene full of rich character development with a variety of short scenes that play games, explore history, and follow the fun wherever it leads!

Each class session will run from 2:30pm-4:30pm ET, with optional time available after class to discuss and debrief.

Class will run for 6 weeks from September 12th through October 17th, and we'll have a student showcase on October 24th.

Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Improv Level 3 or equivalent training at another theatre (reach out if you have questions).

About your instructor:

Geoff Taylor (he/they) is a neurodivergent improviser performing in Baltimore and online and anywhere really. Geoff enjoys intense object work, creating interesting stage pictures, and playing absurd characters. Geoff regularly performs with Teen Angst, Whatever This Is, Extra Credit, and in their solo show The Rorschach Test! He has been taking classes, performing, and coaching improv since 2017, but has gotten especially good at it in the last few days.
