About this Event

EMERALD: Improving post-operative outcomes in Emergency Laparotomy

Are you interested in improving Emergency Laparotomy care within the NHS? We would love to have you on board with our NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) funded project, EMERALD.

EMERALD aims to improve post-operative pathways in the emergency setting. We are developing contextually relevant pathways for patients to improve recovery following emergency laparotomy.

Join our free event to find out about:

- Existing EmLap pathways and outcomes of post-operative care in the NHS

- The differing perspectives of patients and healthcare professionals on EmLap care

- The Standard of Care Interventions in post-op EmLap Care

- New and emerging interventions in post-op EmLap Care

Come and be part of the conversation and help us shape the design of post-operative EmLap care.

We are interested in improving post-operative pathways in EmLap and want your input in identifying how to create innovative, multidisciplinary pathways of care.

Our study day is open to all multidisciplinary healthcare professionals working in the EmLap setting. We are very interested in hearing from surgeons, geriatricians, anaesthetists, specialist nurses, dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, stoma nurses and patients and anyone else working in this space.

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
