Celebrate the arrival of spring in this relaxed and creative copper embossing workshop, where you’ll design and make your own decorative garland inspired by the natural world. Using thin copper sheets, you’ll learn how to emboss and texture your designs using simple tools and scan-style mark making techniques. Think foxes, squirrels, hares, birds and other springtime creatures, all brought to life through pattern, line and texture rather than detailed drawing. You’ll be guided step by step through the embossing process, from transferring simple shapes and motifs onto copper, to building depth, movement and character through mark making. Once complete, your embossed pieces will be assembled into a beautiful garland ready to hang at home. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone who enjoys working with texture, pattern and hands-on making. No previous experience is needed, and all materials and refreshments are provided.
