((Electric Soundbath)) by Guy Blakeslee

The ((ELECTRIC SOUNDBATH)) is a sonic container for inner journeying. Lying on the floor with eyes closed, guests are invited to allow the soundscape to support them and to be gently carried toward expanded states of consciousness.

Guy Blakeslee uses warmly saturated analog cassette recordings of sustained tones and harmonic frequencies to channel the ethereal (intention) into material form (tape).

Each ((ELECTRIC SOUNDBATH)) is unique, an intuitively improvised interaction with the energy in the room, broadcasting the materialized intentions for healing and expansion back into the ethereal realm and vibrating the attendees on a cellular level. Since first initiating this work during his time as musician in residence at the Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles, Blakeslee has been developing this new and electrified version of what has become known as a "SOUND BATH".

*Guests are encouraged to bring pillows, blankets, yoga mats, eye/sleep masks. Please arrive 20 minutes early to set up and get settled in and refrain from talking or disturbing the peace of the other guests.

"honestly I think of most “sound healing” music and “soundbaths” as pretty shallow and fake (no offense) ~ I sincerely work and hope to provide a space for real & deep inner voyages and energetic transformations and I put a lot of care into the creation of my tape library to present a completely analog version of consciousness altering frequency immersion

my background in underground music supplies me with a sonic language more akin to... immersive soundscapes... and the minimalism... than to the current algorithm tyranny of AI-generated “healing” slop and awful yoga music ~ I believe that through simple combinations of sustained tones and the proper intention of reverence that together we can transcend daily concerns and the chatter of our modern minds and release stuck emotions, unhelpful habits and limiting beliefs to emerge both refreshed and inspired ~ this time around I’m placing a special focus on heart opening and unblocking creative channels because that’s what we all need as a human family~ to feel what IS ~ deeply ~ in order to think creatively about a real solution to our urgent existential crisis ~ to connect to the ever-present love field and disconnect from our judgmental and rational insanity .....

Guy Blakeslee is an acomplished musician and has notably also performed under the alias Entrance and with the Entrance Band. In adition to the more singer/songwriter or even power-trio psych-rock oriented work, Guy has explored the potential of pure Sound, Tone, and Sonic Transform to Heal and is sharing the benefit of that experience thru this ((Electric Soundbath))
