Join us for the official book launch of SQ21: Singapore Queer Families in the 21st Century, the long-awaited sequel to the groundbreaking SQ21: Singapore Queers in the 21st Century. Nearly two decades after the first book gave Singapore queer lives real names and real faces on the page, this new volume opens a new chapter on another deeply personal political topic: family.

A moving anthology of real Singaporean LGBTQ+ lives, SQ21 looks at the many ways queer people nurture, love and create families here: the families we are born into, the families we choose, and the families we build in a system that was not always built for us.

Come join us over refreshments and drinks for an evening of stories, conversation and community, where you’ll meet the real people whose stories are commemorated in SQ21. Bring a friend, bring your family, bring an ally wants to understand better
