In each themed session, students aged 5-9 shall be encouraged to complete sentences and phrases in French by using visual stories, movement, songs and skits, in which the students are interactive with each other, while engaging in the use of French words.
They shall also learn numbers and everyday objects, using drawings they create while writing the names of those items in French. Movement shall also be incorporated.
Students shall learn phrases relating to greetings, manners, questions and expressions. The instructor shall speak to them in French as much as possible.
This course can also prepare the students for any future classes they plan to take in French, by encouraging them to have fun and use their own imagination while learning a new language.
Instructor Linda Diamond has a B.A. in French from the University of Southern California. and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris in the Ecole d'Interpretes et Traducteurs.
