Beginner & Intermediate Wheel Throwing
8 week course on Wednesdays from 7 - 9:30pm

In this 8 week course, beginning students will learn the basic principles of making pottery forms on the wheel by learning centering, techniques for forming various shapes, trimming/finishing pots and glazing. More experienced students are welcome in this class to focus on strengthening their skills and refining their techniques to create forms that match what they envision.
Bonus Studio Time (Optional): Students may take advantage of up to 2 hours per week in our Independent Studio during designated, proctored times to practice outside of class.
The pottery studio is located downstairs in the basement of our 100 year old historic building. Unfortunately, there is no elevator.
Skill level: Beginner and Intermediate
Ages: 16 to adult
Max class size: 8
Pre-registration preferred by 24 hours before class. Last minute registration is ok if there is availability.
SUPPLIES:
25 lb clay, purchased from MWCA (includes studio glazes and firing fees) $45 - purchase and keep receipt
Basic pottery tool kit - available here at MWCA - purchase and keep receipt
A small towel
