Oil painting is a versatile, slow-drying medium favored for its rich blending, luminous colors, and forgiving nature. Perfect for artists of all levels, it allows you to easily paint over mistakes and work with layers over multiple days. The technique taught is used by many artist when painting realism. You will be using a limited palette consisting of 5 colors.
This class will teach a very easy approach so that all are comfortable with this medium. You will learn how to prep a canvas before painting, draw and seal drawing, color mixing so you can mix and match any color, and learn how layer color to produce a rich satisfying painting. Instructor will provide reference photo for beginners. Advanced students are welcome to bring in their own references.
Skill level: all levels, including beginners
Ages: 21 +
