An Evening with Andy Moerlein
About this Event
As the country marks its 250th anniversary, Under Construction gathers works by artists from across the nation — installed across ACM's stunning thirteen-acre grounds — to reflect on where America has been, where it stands today, and where it's headed.
Andy Moerlein is a sculptor whose work draws on the intersection of natural form, geology, and poetic inquiry. Working primarily in wood and ceramic, he creates pieces that evoke landscape, organic process, and the human relationship with the natural world — from intimate tabletop forms to large-scale public installations. His traveling work Impossible, a series of handmade stones placed in living trees, has been exhibited at venues including the Christian Science Plaza in Boston, the Krasl Art Center, and the Muskegon Museum of Art. Moerlein has completed residencies in Switzerland, Peru, and at Fruitlands Museum, and his work has been shown at Boston Sculptors Gallery and the Korean Cultural Center in New York City, among other venues.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged to help us plan.
