Classes one and two will be focused on throwing the jars and lids. In class 3 we will trim our jars and lids. Class four we will glaze our pieces and discuss adjustments to the glazing process for lidded containers.
Katie is an artist, mathematician, and experiential educator with two decades of experience in all of those areas. She is both a painter and a ceramic potter. On the wheel she makes a variety of functional work and often manipulates the forms, adds hand built parts, and interesting textures. As a teacher, she focuses on providing enough structure and guidance to motivate, challenge, and support students and provides plenty of room for students to play and find their own way to make the work their own!
