One Day “Try it!” Beginner Wheel Throwing with Katie Montovan

 In this single session course, you will learn to make your first pot on the wheel. This is a great way to try ceramics and to make something to keep.  After the class, the instructor will trim and glaze your pot with your choice of glaze. We will let you know when your pot is done being fired and is ready for you to pick up. 

 Katie is an artist, mathematician, and experiential educator with two decades of experience in all of those areas. She is both a painter and a ceramic potter. On the wheel she makes a variety of functional work and often manipulates the forms, adds hand built parts, and interesting textures. As a teacher, she focuses on providing enough structure and guidance to motivate, challenge, and support students and provides plenty of room for students to play and find their own way to make the work their own!
