About this Event
Trees are one of the reasons why Central Park is so special. Some of its main paths are lined with historic avenues of trees, such as the red horse chestnut trees on Coronation Avenue, planted in 1937 to mark King George VI's coronation.
Join Plymouth Tree People Trustee, Andrew Young on a fascinating walk through the park to learn about the trees in the avenues and the history of the park.
The walk will be about a mile long in total and attendees can remain on the path so it will be fully accessible.
The duration will be 1.5 to 2 hours.
Meet Andrew outside the Plymouth Argyle Football Club ticket office at 10.30 am.
There are toilets available at the Meadow Cafe.
The Plymouth Urban Tree Festival 2026 is sponsored by the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest. Follow Plymouth Tree People on Eventbrite for notifications when new events are listed and check our website Plymouth Urban Tree Festival for more info!
