Oktaves is a music platform built for independent musicians, handling everything from release strategy and distribution to fan engagement and live events. The goal is simple: give artists the infrastructure to build real careers.
On June 11th, 8th Session returns for Vol. 03, this time at Smekkleysa. What started as an intimate recorded concert series at Bar22 has grown, and the new venue reflects that. Doors at 19:00, first act at 19:30.
Four artists take the stage:
- Juno Paul, whose guitar-driven galaxy rock has been building a quiet following in Iceland's grassroots scene.
- KARLOTTA, Icelandic electro pop with one foot in Berlin and a debut album on the way.
- Mighty Bear, Reykjavík's most compelling electronic live act, equal parts spectacle and substance.
- Ari Árelius, a guitarist and composer pulling from psychedelic folk, spiritual jazz and Icelandic mountain funk, whose latest album earned a Song of the Year nomination at the Icelandic Music Awards.
