2 x Day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Perth CBD
About this Event
0900-1500 Both Days
Understanding how to talk about mental health and support someone in need is one of the most valuable skills you can learn. Many of us want to help, but feel unsure where to start. This course changes that.
Over two engaging days, you’ll gain practical, evidence-based tools to:
Recognise the signs of common mental health problems
Provide initial help and respond in a crisis situation
Guide someone towards appropriate professional support
Build confidence in having supportive conversations
This isn’t therapy or a support group — it’s an educational course that empowers everyday people to take action.
Mental health challenges affect every workplace, sporting club, family and community. The sooner support is offered, the better the outcome can be.
What you'll learn:
• Recognising common mental health problems
• How to start a conversation when you're concerned
• Responding to someone experiencing anxiety or depression
• Supporting someone in crisis
• Suicide awareness and response
