Kick off Thanksgiving morning with East Coast Hikers at our annual Turkey Trot Hike! Before the big feast, join us for a refreshing 5.5-mile adventure through the beautiful trails of First Landing State Park. We’ll enjoy coastal forests, cypress swamps, peaceful woodland paths, boardwalks, and a few rolling hills while making memories with friends and burning a few extra calories before dinner.

🕗 Time: 8:00 AM
📍 Meet: Small parking lot just past the ranger booth on the right (64th Street Entrance)
📍 Address: 2500 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
🚗 Parking: Please park on 64th Street or Atlantic Avenue, where free street parking is available. Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days at First Landing State Park, so parking inside the park fills quickly. After parking, walk into the park and meet us at the small parking lot just past the ranger booth on the right. Please do not block driveways or mailboxes, and be courteous to neighborhood residents.

* Terrain: Natural dirt trails with roots, sand, boardwalks, and rolling hills
* Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
* Pace: Casual social pace
Amenities:
* Restrooms available
* Dogs are welcome on a leash.
* Not stroller friendly.

* Comfortable hiking shoes
* Weather-appropriate layers
