Join East Coast Hikers for a relaxing evening beach walk as we experience the Sturgeon Moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean. There’s nothing quite like watching a full moon come up over the water while enjoying the company of great people.

📏 Distance: Approximately 4–5 miles
🌕 Moonrise: Around 7:53 PM
👣 Route: We’ll walk north along the beach to the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront, then turn around and head back to Beach Garden Park while enjoying the Sturgeon Moon rising over the Atlantic.
🏖️ Beach Reminder: We’ll be walking on the sand, so please wear sandals, water shoes, or other comfortable footwear that’s appropriate for the beach. Barefoot is welcome too if that’s your preference!
🔦 Please bring a flashlight or headlamp. We’ll be walking back after dark, so having a light will help everyone safely navigate the beach.
🍹 After the walk, anyone who’s interested is welcome to join us for drinks, dessert, or a late-night snack at a nearby spot. It’s a great opportunity to relax, socialize, and end the evening with good company.
