About Ova Health: Ova Health is an acupuncture and wellness center located in Plantation, FL led by Clinical Director Dr. Carolina Amaya (formerly known as Carolina Zakes), who is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Ova serves an international community seeking a more natural approach to healthcare through Traditional Chinese Medicine and holistic practices.

Dr. Amaya specializes in treating Holistic Fertility and Reproductive Acupuncture, as well as endocrine and autoimmune disease, musculoskeletal and nerve disorders, IVF support, hormone balance, PCOS, natural labor induction, emotional health including stress/anxiety/depression, weight management, and digestive disorders. Her cultural background and mastery of Mayan and Aztec traditional medicine, combined with an evidence-based understanding of the relationship of mind, body, and spirit, lends a unique depth to her approach as a physician.
