In this Clinic we will:
-Discuss what Yin Yoga IS and what Yin Yoga ISN’T
-Explore the fundamental Yin Yoga postures
-Learn Yin postures on the wall (Wall Series)
-Take an in-depth look at what parts of the body Yin Yoga targets
-Gain a firm foundation of the benefits of Yin Yoga
-Use props to safely get into each posture
-Learn modifications for yourself and others (including students with injuries or other medical conditions, including pregnancy)
-Experience all the postures and benefits firsthand in practice, not theory

About Roxanna Kopp Smith
Roxanna is a certified Hatha and Kundalini yoga teacher who is passionate about living in the present moment and sharing her love of yoga with others.
She especially loves teaching Yin Yoga; a practice that highlights presence, deep listening and exploring physical sensation. Yin Yoga calms the nervous system and allows for more ease of being - both physically and emotionally. "In one year of practicing yin yoga, I was able to achieve results with certain postures that had eluded me after 12 years of practicing hatha yoga consistently. The deep stretching in Yin Yoga allowed my body to relax into a more limber me. Instead of firing my muscles in a vinyasa flow, and moving in quick, repetitive ways, my body lengthened and loosened, releasing years of stored tension and muscle memories."
