Yes, It’s Cake! Cookout Cupcakes Team Decorating Class

In the “Yes, It’s Cake!” series of classes, Laura Larson of Laura’s Custom Cakes invites students into the fascinating world of hyper-realistic cakes that look like everyday objects, pushing creativity and technical skills beyond traditional cake decorating.

In this MINI class, you and your team mate will use a variety of sweet treats, decorating techniques, and creative tricks to transform cupcakes and confections into realistic looking cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and French fries. They are sure to make you do a double take—because yes, it really is cake.

Each registration is for a team of 2 people. Teams can be 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child (minimum age 8). Perfect for adult-child duos, friends, couples, or coworkers looking for a fun and creative experience together! No experience needed — just bring your creativity and sweet tooth!

Each team will create:

• 2 cheeseburgers
• 2 hot dogs
• French fries

This class is part of our Yes, It’s Cake! series, which focuses on cakes that look like other things. Additional hyper-realistic illusion cake designs will be added to the series, giving you the chance to keep building your realism skills with each new class.

Laura Larson is the owner of Laura’s Custom Cakes, a licensed home-based bakery and is also a member of the Fran’s crew. She has a passion for cake decorating and loves to share her excitement with others who want to learn. All The Details:

• Age Level: 8+
• Skill Level: Beginner
• Each ticket includes 2 people (2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child.)
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box to take your cupcakes home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 3 teams and there is a maximum of 8 teams. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 1.5 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
