Workshop 2, The Art of Singing Bowl Therapeutic Sound Bath

Playing multiple singing bowls is therapeutic to yourself and you can also facilitate a group healing through conducting a sound bath. Learn how to play multiple singing bowls to create balance and harmony for yourself and others.

A Singing Bowl Sound Bath is a relaxation technique and meditative experience whereby participants ‘bathe’ in the sound waves. It is highly therapeutic for both the facilitators and the participants. Sound bath is a versatile healing process that can be easily combined with meditation, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, spa and yoga sessions. Everyone finds a sound bath relaxing and enjoyable.

Class contents

- review and practise striking and rimming with more details

- practical and musical techniques with multiple singing bowls

- how to layer the tones to create a full and soothing harmonious soundscape

- learn the exact techniques to release physical tention, mental relaxation and induce the Theta brain wave state

- intuitive playing and keep in the flow

- the effects of sound bath to the group and signs of release

- selection of singing bowl set

There will be plenty of hands-on practices and personal coaching. This class is to prepare you to be able to conduct and guide your participants to a restful and therapeutic state through the sound of the singing bowls.

Participants will be awarded certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.

Our Studio

Our Facilitator

Christina Shiu, founder of The Singing Bowl Gallery in Singapore, is a Singing Bowl specialist. Christina’s learnings and teachings are rooted in the original lineage from world renowned Singing Bowl Master teachers, Santa Shakya and Shree Shahi. She has been consistently offering sound bath meditation sessions and Singing Bowl Workshop monthly for the pass 8 years. Many of her students are now offering singing bowl events in major yoga studios and wellness centres. She has also been invited to train spa practitioners in luxurious hotels in the region and performed in opening ceremonies of regional events. She also conducts wellness sessions with the singing bowls for corporations and government agencies in Singapore.
