Singing Bowls bring a great wealth of potential to heal various aspects of our lives. The poweer of sound and vibration can establish a supportive energy field, initiate healthy energy flow, and guide us into a deep meditative healing state, enabling our bodies to commence self-healing.

This workshop will cover the original Singing Bowl Therapy methodology that has been practiced for over 200 years by the Shakya family. It has been published in the book ‘Singing Bowl, a Nepali Instrument for Tuning the Mind Healing the Body’. Through feed back from real cases that were seen by my students and myself, this sequence has been found effective and delivering tangible results in improving physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Class contents

• perfecting sound production techniques with singing bowls

• ear training, listening skills. How well one plays & heals others depends on how well one listens.

• energy purification and protection for yourself

• position & movements

• energy / chakra scanning

• contact method/massage with the singing bowls (targeting different conditions)

• various self-healing practices that you can use for yourself and offer as a session

• bowl placements & sequence, the original sequence by Santa Shakya

Participants will be awarded certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.

Our Facilitator

Christina Shiu, founder of The Singing Bowl Gallery in Singapore, is a Singing Bowl specialist. Christina’s learnings and teachings are rooted in the original lineage from world renowned Singing Bowl Master teachers, Santa Shakya and Shree Shahi. She has been consistently offering sound bath meditation sessions and Singing Bowl Workshop monthly for the pass 10 years. Many of her students are now offering singing bowl events in major yoga studios and wellness centres. She has also been invited to train spa practitioners in luxurious hotels in the region and performed in opening ceremonies of regional events. She also conducts wellness sessions with the singing bowls for corporations and government agencies in Singapore.
