Whāingaroa/Raglan planting bee

All are welcome at this planting bee to continue the restoration and strengthening of the Whāingaroa coastline. We have more than 600 beautiful native backdune plants to get in the ground and would love your help.
We will be working in the section of backdune between the toilet block and the Wainamu carpark on Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive - look for the Coastcare flags.
Bring closed-toe footwear, snacks, a water bottle and gloves if you want them. The holes will be dug with an auger where possible, to keep digging to a minimum - it's soul-satisfying work for all ages.
To protect the health of ourselves and our restoration sites, we ask that you arrive with clean footwear and equipment and stay home if you feel unwell.
Any postponements due to weather will be posted on this page.
