About this Event

Welcome to the Great Belt

The Green Belt has long been a point of contention – is it untouchable countryside, an underused reserve, or a chance to think how we can harmonise homes, industry, mobility, energy and habitat?

Maysa Phares, Studio Egret West.

A talk and panel discussion about the Green, Grey and Great Belt!

The aim is not to choose between nature and development, but to imagine how we can transform land to more equitably support a growing, resilient, energising, accessible and thriving city. Is it possible to accelerate development where it is needed, whilst sustaining landscape and heritage value, regenerating nature and strengthening communities?

It’s a hot topic that promises lively debate and fresh perspectives. Bring your friends, collaborators, and anyone interested in the future of our landscapes and cities - all are welcome to join us to discuss this proposition.
