About this Event

The Water Efficiency Cambridgeshire Fund, or weCB Fund for short, is a £1.6 million fund set up to support non-household water-saving in the Cambridge Water Resource Zone.

It’s open to all types of water-efficiency projects – including water audits, water-saving technology upgrades and innovation programmes. Funding awards range from £500 to £100,000.

The weCB Fund is 100% UK government funded. Applications are open 13 April to 4 May 2026.

Join us at the launch event on Tuesday 14 April 2026, either in person or online.

You’ll hear from weCB Fund partners, covering topics such as:

  • Key information about the fund
  • How to make a strong application
  • Funding release dates

All potential applicants are welcome, including:

  • Water retailers
  • Water wholesalers
  • Efficiency auditors
  • Innovators
  • All non-household water customers (i.e. any businesses or organisations) in the Cambridge Water Resource Zone.

Join in person at Storey’s Field Centre, Eddington Avenue, CB3 1AA, from 9:30am-11:45am, including a 45-minute networking session at 11am. Enjoy hot and cold drinks and pastries.

Join online from 10am-11am.

All attendees will have the opportunity take part in the Q&A, subject to availability.

Joining in person? Book a free surgery slot

If you’re joining us in person at Storey’s Field Centre, why not book a free 15-minute surgery slot with the weCB Fund team?

These informal sessions are ideal for discussing eligibility and the application process. Slots available from 11:15-12:45.

You’ll be able to book a surgery slot after you’ve signed up to our launch event – look out for the link in your confirmation email.
