Generative AI is boosting individual productivity, transforming how people work, think and collaborate. However, economic impact lags behind. Dr Melvyn Weeks explores why, offering an economic framework to understand productivity, task displacement and value creation. This talk is in Lecture Theatre 1.

This event will be followed by a complementary talk, Uncovering Algorithms: Conversations on the Impact of AI, in Lecture Theatre 2.
