About this Event
Walk from Haytor on Dartmoor to Yarner Woods along the first section of the scenic and historic 'Templer Way' that links Haytor on Dartmoor with the Teignmouth seaport.
Along the way we will explore granite, quarry, tramway, temperate rainforest and learn about the history of copper mining and the ‘Restoring Stover Park’ project.
Level: Easy - The walk is approximately 4 miles / 6.5km along open hilly moorland and woodland, walking at a leisurely pace.
What to wear/bring: Sturdy walking boots; warm layers; sunscreen; waterproof jacket and trousers (whatever the forecast); drink/flask and snacks.
Fee: Includes travel from Stover Country Park to Haytor and return from Yarner woods to Stover Country Park, guided walk, lunch.
Group size is limited so pre-booking is essential.

This walk will be led by Dartmoor's Daughter : Emma Cunis aka Dartmoor's Daughter creates walks and nature-connection experiences to enhance health, wellbeing, and performance. She is a qualified Hill & Moorland Leader (HML).

Sorry dogs are not permitted on this walk except Assistance dogs.
