It has been estimated that one in every five people is highly sensitive, meaning that they are more greatly affected by sensory inputs than other people. This can impact on their mental health, often leading to difficulties with self-esteem, anxiety and depression. Understanding the trait better can help to make sense of the difficuties that people experience and to find ways of managing them so that their impact is reduced.
This workshop is for people who think they or someone they care about may be highly sensitive or for anyone who wants to learn more about this trait and how it can affect mental health.
We will be sharing what is known about the highly sensitive trait and how it can impact on people, exploring strategies that can make life more manageable and celebrating the ways in which being highly sensitive can enhance life.
