UAL Subcultures SIG is pleased to launch the 5th and bumper issue of our newspaper at the newly opened Museum of Youth Culture in Camden.
Since our founding in 2019, the group has evolved and grown significantly, with interests spanning a wide range of subcultural practices, from early be-bop jazz to glam rock, punk, post-punk, the music press, club cultures, acid house, black metal, skateboarding, contemporary pop and digital online communities. This is a genuinely multi-disciplinary group, reflecting a range of intersecting fields including history, cultural studies, sociology, fashion, musicology and the creative arts.
Join us on the 20th July for a celebration of subcultures, to hear from an exciting range of speakers, the Rock & Roll Public Library, and to bag yourself a free copy of the newspaper!
