Children and Policing in England and Wales: Adopting a Child First Approach
About this Event
Funded by the Nuffield Foundation, this research, carried out in partnership with the police and other agencies, examines what needs to change to adopt a Child First approach across frontline and custody policing in England and Wales.
At the launch, we will publish our Summary Report and Recommendations, together with three main reports examining police interactions with children during frontline policing and police custody, including an analysis of children’s custody records. Together, the reports set out recommendations for change and practical tools for introducing Child First approaches in practice.
Join us to hear the findings, share your experience and discuss what good practice looks like.
