This class is for those who are looking to birth their babies at Lewisham Hospital or Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich.
(Please note, the exact location for this class will be the Lecture theatre, Education centre, Green zone, Queen Elizabeth Hospital. West entrance. Either enter through the main entrance and tun left, follow corridor to the very end of the building, exit and we are located on the left side opposite the conference centre. Alternatively, opposite the bus stand, walk towards the building, we are located on the left side)
Our workshops will give you the tools and information to make the right decisions for you and your family.
We will cover these key topics:
Your birth options and preferences
Spontaneous labour and induction of labour
What to expect when giving birth, both vaginally and via caesarean section
Pain relief options
Support after you have had your baby: how to care for your new infant, how and when to seek support and information about who will look after you moving forward
Helping you choose how to feed your baby including information on breastfeeding support and how to safely prepare a bottlefeed
Your wellbeing and emotional needs, incuding hormone changes
Each attendee must have their own ticket. Unfortunately, due to capacity limits, those without a ticket will not be able to attend. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking so someone else can take your place.
