ABOUT THE "TUNING IN TO TENSION" WORKSHOP
Immersive performance spaces are rich with spontaneity, but with that comes the potential for unplanned disruptions. Safeguarding the well-being of the cast, crew, and audience while preserving the integrity of the experience requires skillful handling of tense situations. In this interactive workshop, we will:
- Explore potential escalation and conflict scenarios that may arise in immersive environments
- Discuss a range of de-escalation techniques and decision-making strategies to maintain safety and connection
- Evaluate case studies drawn from real-life challenges, examining different approaches and their outcomes
Participants will leave with practical tools to enhance their ability to respond to and de-escalate moments of tension, ensuring that immersive performances remain both dynamic and secure.
