The Tom Jones Memorial Football Tournament 2026 is a one-day tournament for boys (U8, U9, U10, U11 & U12) and girls (U12). Organised by West Mercia Search and Rescue, the tournament will commemorate an amazing young man, Tom Jones, who was passionate about sports and who tragically lost his life in 2018.
The event will also raise funds for West Mercia Search and Rescue (WMSAR), a local volunteer-led charity that works alongside other emergency services to find and rescue vulnerable missing persons.
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Where: Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre, Briar Mill, Droitwich, Worcestershire, WR9 0RZ.
The tournament will feature 48 teams across six divisions, with a group stage followed by a knockout stage.
All players will receive a medal for participating and winning teams in each division will receive a trophy.
All teams may enter a squad of up to 12 players.
All age divisions will play 7 v 7.
AGES ARE AS OF THE 25/26 SEASON!
First games will kick-off at 9.00AM. Finals are expected to be completed around 4.30 PM.
