We're back after a summer break!
This month, we're joined by Newark Works Member, Frontline - a big group company.
This thursday they'll deliver Felt, Not Watched a talk exploring why physical experiences matter more in a world increasingly shaped by algorithms, automation and AI-generated noise. As digital content becomes faster, synthetic and harder to trust, the physical environment becomes a critical space for human understanding, confidence and decision-making.
Drawing on Frontline's work with Mastercard and McLaren, the talk reframes experience design as Sensory Architecture: the deliberate orchestration of space, sound, pace, movement, atmosphere, technology and human interaction to help audiences orient, understand, trust and act.This is not a talk about spectacle. It is a future-facing argument for designing experiences that are not simply watched, but felt.
If you’ve been before, you’ll know the format: relaxed, informal, a room full of people working in - or simply interested in - tech. No pitches, no business cards, just good conversation, a cold drink and usually some pizza.
