At the heart of Christianity is an ancient form of meditation that can change a person and change the world.

Our leader for the day is Liz Watson, a long term meditator, teacher and a leading member of WCCM in the UK and The World Community for Christian Meditation. In response to the quote from John Main Liz says "Fulness of life is a very attractive prospect for us and John Main believes that a practice of meditation can lead us there. This is a bold claim which we will use as our theme for our time together, weaving together meditation periods, short talks, raising questions about our practice and sharing of insights from our own lives. One of the wonderful things about meditation is that we discover we have wisdom to share with each other whether we are just beginning or have been on the way for many years. So you are welcome, wherever you are starting from.”
Retreat Leader:
Liz facilitates events nationally and internationally and first shared an event with Dorset Meditators in 2012. She is clear and easy to listen to, with a simplicity of message appreciated by new and experienced meditators alike. She says that this way of meditation has been the greatest gift in her life has resulted in a quiet passion to teach it to anyone else who might want to know about it. More about the Content and Location:
This is an experiential gathering held in The Lounge at the Dorford Centre and is close to a railway station and parking. The Lounge is a peaceful and spacious room with access to a garden.
Practical Information:
Doors open at 9.30am, with a prompt start at 10am.
Parking is available in the Top 'O' Town car park which is opposite the Dorford Centre. Daily parking rates apply.
Drinks will be provided during the morning and afternoon breaks. Please bring a reusable mug if you are able. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or buy food from one of the local shops which are a short walk away.

Dorset Meditators, affiliated to WCCM in the UK, was established in 2011 by Dorset meditation group leaders to offer day events in the contemplative tradition to new and not-so-new meditators alike.
