The Power of Creativity
About this Event
Finding expression, connection and hope through love and loss
What can creativity give us when life feels difficult and words aren’t enough?
Join BBC Radio Lancashire presenter Hayley Kay for a conversation exploring the powerful role creativity can play through times of love, loss and grief.
Hayley will be joined by a panel of artists and creatives – Linda Devo, Lucy Ray, Nathan Parker and Mike Cassidy – who will share how they've used creativity to navigate difficult experiences and make sense of life’s harder moments.
From visual art and sculpture to music and spoken word, the panel will explore how making things can give shape to feelings, create space for reflection, keep memories alive and help us connect with others.
They’ll talk honestly about their own experiences and creative practices, and what happens when grief finds its way into the work, sometimes deliberately, sometimes unexpectedly.
Expect personal stories, creative insight, honest conversation and plenty to think about.
Come and discover what creativity can do when we are loving, losing, remembering and learning to live with change.
