The Art of Seascapes: Day Course(Studio Preview Series)
Join us for a relaxed, immersive creative day in our brand new studio space — part of our Studio Series, where we’re opening the doors in small, intimate groups.
When: Monday 11th May
Time: 10:00 – 14:00
In this special extended session, you’ll be gently guided to explore a range of expressive seascape techniques — inspired by the movement, colour and atmosphere of the ocean.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore how to capture the feeling of the sea using loose brushwork, layered colour, and simple techniques that bring depth and movement to your work. Rather than focusing on perfection, this session is all about building confidence, experimenting, and enjoying the process.
You’ll work in your own sketchbook, giving you space to try different approaches — from calm, still waters to more textured, expressive waves — creating a collection of studies that feel connected, yet completely your own.
We’ll guide you through:
– Creating soft, blended skies
– Building depth and contrast in the water
– Using brushwork and tools to suggest movement and texture
– Exploring your own colour palette, from soft coastal tones to deeper, moodier seas
There will be plenty of time to pause, step back, and let your work evolve naturally — making this feel like a true creative reset.
Do I need experience?
Not at all. Everything is gently guided and completely beginner-friendly. Whether you’re brand new or looking to loosen up your style, you’ll feel supported every step of the way.
