Join us for an exclusive insight into the art of cross-country course design with Adrian Ditcham, an FEI Level 3 Course Designer and BE Platinum Course Builder. Whether you're a rider, coach, course designer, or course builder, this short course is your chance to enhance your understanding of how cross-country courses are structured and the questions they pose for both horse and rider.
With classes ranging from BE90 to 3 International*, we’ll explore the progression through the levels, breaking down the fences, distances, and challenges that define each stage of competition.
📚 What to Expect:
✔️ A deep dive into fence types at different levels
✔️ Understanding distances and lines across the grades
✔️ How fence design and structure impact performance
✔️ The role of safety devices and their use in modern eventing
✔️ How cross-country questions progress through the levels
💬 Ask Away! This will be an interactive session with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss key elements of course design.
The course will run from 2-5pm and will be outdoors on the cross country course so make sure you're dressed for the weather. Please meet at the start box at 2pm.

Cost: £25 BHS Accredited Coaches or £35 for General Admission. Places are limited so don't miss out!
This event counts as 3 CPD points for BHS accredited coaches and CPD for Pony Club coaches.
